Role overview

Financial reporting and project accounting

• Prepare monthly financial reports, project cost reports, and financial statements; report accurately and on time to senior management.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance; conduct cost analysis and variance reporting.
• Monitor subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, material costs, advances, retentions, and project budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of project financial transactions.

Leadership, compliance, and controls

• Lead junior accountants, allocate tasks, review work, provide mentorship, and ensure timely completion of accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies and maintain strong financial-reporting controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits.

Qualifications and skills

• A Chartered Accountant qualification is required: CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in construction project accounting and financial monitoring is required.
• Proficiency with monthly financial reporting, project cost reports, financial statements, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience monitoring project payments, invoices, material costs, advances, retentions, and budgets is required.
• Ability to lead junior accountants, allocate tasks, review work, and ensure timely reporting is required.
