Role overview

Location and work arrangement

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and is in person.
• Candidates must be able to commute to Abu Dhabi or plan to relocate before starting.

Employment type

• The position is full-time.

Accounting and reporting

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and year-end closing schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, payment schedules, supplier accounts, and subcontractor reconciliations.
• Coordinate external audits and keep financial records accurate and up to date.

Tax, payroll, and project accounts

• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate corporate tax compliance with external tax consultants.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, expenses, and profitability; verify supplier invoices and payment requests.
• Manage progress billing, payment applications, retention balances, and final account reconciliations.
• Process payroll and WPS using approved attendance and leave records; reconcile showroom, workshop, and intercompany accounts.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax requirements, and WPS payroll processing is required.
• Previous project accounting, cost control, and financial management experience is required.

Tools and capabilities

• Proficiency in Sage 50, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Candidates should work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Construction, interior fit-out, contracting, or joinery experience is highly preferred.
• ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification is an advantage.
