Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Joinery & Interior Fit-Out

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, measurements, BOQs, and cost estimates; price joinery, carpentry, bespoke furniture, FF&E, and fit-out works.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations; analyze material, labour, fabrication, transportation, and installation costs.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and Project teams; identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and commercial risks.
• Prepare and support technical and commercial tender submissions; assist with value engineering, clarifications, negotiations, and revisions.
• Maintain supplier rates, material costs, and historical pricing data.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in estimating or quantity surveying.
• Strong UAE experience in joinery and interior fit-out is essential.
• Strong knowledge of joinery, carpentry, bespoke furniture, finishes, and fit-out construction.
• Ability to read and quantify architectural, interior design, and joinery drawings.
• Proven experience preparing BOQs and take-offs, estimating costs, pricing tenders, and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tenders and tight deadlines.
• Experience with an interior fit-out, joinery, furniture, or interior contracting company is preferred.
• PlanSwift or similar estimating software experience is preferred.

Preferred project experience

• Preferred project backgrounds include luxury residential and villas, hotels and hospitality, commercial offices, retail and F&B, high-end fit-out, bespoke joinery and furniture, decorative finishes, and turnkey interiors.

Work location

• Work location is in person. The posting requires ability to commute to Abu Dhabi or plan to relocate before starting.
