The Senior Accountant prepares and examines financial records, ensures accuracy and regulatory compliance, and manages budgets and financial forecasting.
This is a full-time, in-person role located in Abu Dhabi.
Accounting and reporting responsibilities
- Handle accounting tasks including voucher preparation, reconciliations, monthly trial balances, and related reports.
- Prepare and validate accounting transaction documentation before it is entered into the system; implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain manual and computerized accounting books and ledgers.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable; report results to the direct manager.
- Prepare monthly trial balances and detailed schedules for receivables, expenses, fixed assets, and other accounts.
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare cheques and payrolls, review payroll schedules, process documents to the bank, and follow up on employee receipt.
- Verify physical cash balances and inventory against accounting records.
- Prepare accounts receivable ageing reports and send monthly statements to debtors.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports before processing transactions.
- Coordinate supporting documents for internal and external audits and recommend improvements to financial procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments and perform other responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications and languages
- At least 3 years of accounting experience is required.
- Tagalog is required; English is preferred.
- A master's degree is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 7,500–8,500 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person in Abu Dhabi.
