About Happy Pet Gulf
Happy Pet Gulf is the regional home of Happy Cat and Happy Dog premium pet food brands.
The Gulf operation spans the UAE and Oman and is expanding its direct-to-consumer business across Shopify, Amazon, and Noon.
The role reports directly to the General Manager and offers ownership of financial work.
The Role
Own the day-to-day financial operations of the Gulf business.
Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, month-end close, and financial insight across three markets and multiple sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage journal entries, bank transactions, financial records, sales invoices, and revenue recording.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports for Head Office.
- Provide financial analysis on results, variances, and business performance.
- Prepare and review VAT and Corporate Tax calculations and returns.
- Monitor receivables, payables, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
- Complete month-end activities including provisions, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor the company’s cash position.
- Coordinate with banks, customers, suppliers, and other external parties.
- Improve accounting processes and internal financial controls.
- Support product offers, discounts, and pricing with financial and cost analysis.
- Manage Zoho Books and maintain accurate, complete financial data.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CA Inter, CMA, or ACCA, pursuing or completed.
- 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance requirements.
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software; Zoho Books is preferred.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, independence, prioritization, and deadline management.
Pay
- AED 3,500–AED 5,000 per month.

- The role is performed in person.
