Provide security and fire safety services for the client site.
The role includes patrols, control room duties, site administration, and courier support.
Working pattern
- Work four days on and four days off, with pro rata cover days required to average 48 hours per week.
Security and fire duties
- Comply with security assignment instructions and agreed service-level requirements.
- Carry out security service patrols.
- Carry out routine fire patrols and checks.
- Ensure fire procedures are implemented and monitored at all times.
- Provide fire checks and isolate the fire panel when required.
- Carry out control room duties as required.
Site and administrative duties
- Book and weigh vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Record printed products leaving the site.
- Ensure customer policies and procedures are followed.
- Report misuse, damage, threats, breaches, and unsafe practices.
- Sort, collect, and deliver mail and courier items.
- Complete relevant documentation accurately and legibly.
Required skills and certification
- Hold First Aid training and a valid First Aid Certificate.
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Demonstrate teamwork, communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work safely and unsupervised.
- Have problem-solving and confident decision-making skills.
- Be flexible to move between areas following appropriate training.
Work environment
- The duties are site-based and include patrols, vehicle handling, control room work, and fire checks.
