Security engineering role focused on application, cloud, and infrastructure security.
Responsibilities
- Test web applications, mobile applications, and APIs for vulnerabilities.
- Review code, scripts, and configurations; configure and manage SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC, and container scanning.
- Automate security in CI/CD pipelines and strengthen Kubernetes, container runtime, and infrastructure security.
- Contribute to security architecture, risk reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Deliver security awareness training and collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- Advise non-technical stakeholders on risks; support incident response, post-incident reviews, and lessons learned.
- Keep up to date on threats, attack vectors, and security technologies.
Experience and core qualifications
- 7–12 years of professional information security experience.
- Hands-on web, mobile, and API penetration testing experience.
- Proficiency with application and infrastructure security tooling, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and automation.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure security, Kubernetes, Docker, container runtime security, and secure architecture.
- Python or Bash scripting skills for security workflow automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Preferred qualifications
- Security certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, CISSP, CCSP, CKS, or CKA are good to have.
- Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or CIS frameworks is good to have.
- Familiarity with GDPR, PCI DSS, or HIPAA is good to have.
