Full-time Mid-Level Security Analyst supporting the Department of War through security analysis, program support, administrative coordination, and customer service.
Supports a high-volume Government security environment, including approximately 1,400 security requests per month across the team.
Core responsibilities
- Plan and track security projects, deliverables, performance metrics, and Government-facing status updates.
- Analyze security policy and procedures, research issues, and recommend compliance or process improvements.
- Coordinate security requests, shared mailbox activity, personnel security transactions, and customer communications.
- Maintain security databases, access records, SCI records, rosters, and accreditation documentation.
- Support incident inquiries, records management, Mission Assurance, continuity activities, Operations Security, and CUI programs.
- Support 20 to 30 annual self-inspection visits, security training of approximately five to 10 courses annually, and foreign travel briefings for approximately 400 travelers annually.
- Support security requirements for more than 100 secure facilities, including inspections, vulnerability identification, and mitigation recommendations.
Skills and qualifications
- The candidate should be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to support multiple security functions in a fast-paced Government environment.
- Working knowledge of Federal and Department of War security policy is identified as a qualification.
- Experience with DISS, computerized access-control systems, Learning Management Systems, SIPRNet, or other security databases and tools is preferred but not required.
