Role overview

Job location and flexibility

• The job location is Green Park Way Vent Shaft.
• The employer will consider requests for part-time, remote, or compressed-hours flexibility, subject to role requirements.

Main responsibilities

• Develop design, construction methodology, programmes, and costs and prepare resources, procurement, consents, and pre-start documentation.
• Manage, supervise, train, and mentor site teams and subcontractors.
• Review contracts, programmes, budgets, productivity, and subcontractor accounts.
• Requisition resources and communicate non-conformances, instructions, and records of additional works.
• Maintain site diaries and ensure inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements are implemented.
• Implement health, safety, environmental, sustainability, and safety management system requirements.
• Liaise with construction, design, engineering, quality, cost control, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a civil engineering-related subject, or HND in Civil Engineering with vocational engineering training.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, best practice, and construction contracts.
• Ability to use initiative, work independently, and collaborate with integrated teams and external stakeholders.
• Computer competence in Microsoft Office, document control systems, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt communication style.
• Relevant CSCS card and training in health and safety and environmental management.
