Role overview

Teaching responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, innovative teaching that supports student experience and outcomes.
• Build a classroom culture that supports, challenges, and inspires students.
• Support EAL students in accessing the curriculum and develop language, literacy, and communication fluency in lessons.
• Adapt learning pathways and planning for students with different prior achievement and individual targets.
• Promote the subject through visits, visitors, and the after-school ECA programme; participate in school community events.
• Share best practice and engage students and parents across the school community.

Essential qualifications and experience

• University degree in a relevant specialist subject and a teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or PDGE.
• Teaching experience in a UK and/or international context.
• Strong working knowledge of the English National Curriculum relevant to the subject.
• Fluent English at native or near-native level.
• Able to support diverse learners, adapt planning, and communicate effectively with students and colleagues.

Desirable qualification

• A Master’s degree or evidence of further professional development is desirable.
