Supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
Works closely with the School Counselor and Head of Primary to help create a safe, inclusive, supportive school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day student support and conduct check-ins.
- Assist with individual and group counseling activities.
- Identify students who may need additional support.
- Help implement wellbeing and social-emotional learning programs.
- Maintain appropriate student records and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a related field; another section lists 2 years’ experience as a Counselor.
- Excellent English speaking ability.
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning and student wellbeing programs.
- Experience with student information systems and counseling documentation.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills; empathy, professionalism, cultural awareness, and sound judgment.
