Example responsibilities

• Generate therapeutic hypotheses and analyse disease biology using in-house data and statistical approaches.
• Identify and triage potential targets with genetic evidence and assess relevant cells, tissues, patient populations, and biomarkers.
• Apply and optimise risk tools combining polygenic risk scores with conventional risk factors for patient stratification.
• Develop and execute rigorous scientific approaches and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Required foundations

• Statistics, including modelling and regression.
• Genetics and molecular biology.
• Statistical programming using Python or R.

Preferred experience

• Statistical genetics methods such as GWAS, colocalization, fine-mapping, Mendelian randomization, and polygenic risk scores.
• Electronic health record phenotyping and knowledge of Bayesian, high-dimensional, or causal inference methods.
• Software engineering practices, reproducible pipelines, cloud computing, trusted research environments, or statistical genetics methods development.
