Product Manager - Data and Analytics

Role purpose

Role responsibilities

• Break strategic initiatives into 2–4 scoped epics and features, documenting the reasoning behind scope boundaries.
• Maintain a context document with user workflows, personas, edge cases, and constraints.
• Validate requirements with scientific subject-matter experts and understand ingestion capabilities and architecture with Data Services.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and User Research to check feasibility and customer relevance.
• Run delivery kick-offs and bi-weekly check-ins, respond to questions, and make prioritization calls.
• Share recurring ambiguities with the Director of Product Management to sharpen future initiatives.

Candidate requirements

• Fluency with genomic data, including reading GWAS papers and understanding p-values, effect sizes, and population diversity.
• Experience in product management or product ownership.
• Ability to define features with clear completion criteria and leave story-level detail to the delivery team.
• Decisiveness, an execution mindset, and clear written and spoken communication.

Workplace

• The role is hybrid and lists Oxford or London as locations.
