SAP Finance Functional Lead

Role overview

The work

• Define how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across data entities and systems.
• Analyze, design, or implement data designs and practices, aligned with governance, predictive modeling, or data visualization.
• Initiate domain- or platform-led transformation programs and run assigned workstream or project activities.
• Interact with clients, manage workstreams, collaborate across teams, and take charge when needed.
• Coordinate with technical, reporting, conversion, change management, and project management workstreams.
• Adapt methods, tools, and procedures to meet client needs; review business requirements and identify configuration solutions.
• Document requirements, solutions, impacts, alternatives, and final decisions.

Required qualifications

• At least 10 years of SAP FI experience, including GL, AR, AP, PS, and AA, with MM integration experience.
• At least 3 years of S/4HANA experience and at least 5 years managing teams in a Global Delivery module.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to act as a Functional Solution Architect and provide high-level design expertise.
• Extensive SAP S/4 transformation experience and a record of successful project implementations.
• Ability to define SAP Finance functional roadmaps and strategies and lead finance business process reengineering.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including C-suite executives, and gain support for functional strategies.
• Federal government security clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
• English is required for regular stakeholder interaction across Canada, the US, and other countries.

Bonus qualifications

• External consulting experience, Greenfield implementation experience, and knowledge of SAP’s business development process are bonus qualifications.

Compensation

• The stated annual salary range is CAD 131,700 to CAD 278,100 for roles in British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
• Compensation varies by factors including office location, role, skill set, and experience; the range is a guideline and is based on full-time employment.
