Experience and technical knowledge

  • Requires 6 to 8 years of SAP BASIS experience and at least one full lifecycle implementation from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live.
  • Requires SAP Service Marketplace use for tickets, research notes, and release-note review, plus good Linux and Windows knowledge.
  • Requires SAP security knowledge, HANA installation, migrations, upgrades, high availability, disaster recovery, security, backup, and recovery knowledge.
  • Requires hands-on SAP S/4HANA/Basis administration, HANA migration experience, HANA database knowledge, and Linux/Unix operating system knowledge.
  • Requires knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP BO, SAP BODS, HANA system refresh/copy, and SAP ECC SPS, EHP, and NetWeaver upgrades using SUM.
  • Requires technical audit/review expertise and audit-point closure; SOX compliance awareness is also requested.
  • Requires SAP migration experience and work with PO, Content Server, and MaxDB; Portal, Gateway, and Web Dispatcher knowledge is also listed.
  • Requires familiarity with incident and change management tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor SAP application servers, services, and user logins; administer clients, including creation, copy, deletion, export, and import.
  • Set up transports and change request management, import transport requests, troubleshoot, schedule background jobs, and report issues.
  • Install R/3 and Java systems on Unix and Windows; maintain logical systems and configure load balancing, operation modes, and SMLG.
  • Apply support packages, add-ons, database patches, and database client updates; monitor and tune SAP and database performance.
  • Apply SAP license notes automatically or manually; implement, configure, and administer Solution Manager 7.2.
  • Perform HANA system refresh and copy activities; document SAP security policies and procedures.
  • Implement and administer SAP Content Server and MaxDB; configure SSO certificates and install/configure/implement Web Dispatcher.
  • Install and administer SAP Router; conduct quarterly and yearly internal and external audits.
  • Plan and perform system upgrades and OSS activities, including creating OSS messages, opening systems, maintaining system data, and updating systems.
  • Translate development requirements and specifications into efficient SAP solutions.
  • Provide L2 support, monitor IDOCs, and manage logs.
  • Coordinate with end users and functional and technical consultants to understand issues and provide solutions.
