The SAP Architect designs and guides SAP and connected solutions across Finance, Procurement, Human Capital Management, Supply Chain, and Asset Management.

Architecture ownership extends from concept through implementation and hypercare, with advisory work for business and technology leaders.
Architecture and delivery
- Own SAP roadmaps and target-state architecture; build domain transition roadmaps that modernize capabilities and simplify legacy systems.
- Shape business cases and assess value drivers, SAP licensing, and consumption impacts of architecture choices.
- Own end-to-end designs for processes, integrations, extensions, data, security, and non-functional requirements.
- Guide delivery teams and system integrators through build, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare.
- Design SAP and non-SAP integrations using API-led, event-driven, and middleware patterns.
- Define migration strategies and enforce architecture standards, guardrails, reference designs, and clean core guidelines.
AI, governance, and leadership
- Ensure architecture meets security, privacy, responsible AI, and Well Architected Framework requirements.
- Present options, trade-offs, risks, and investment recommendations to senior leaders and governance forums.
- Shape AI use cases such as intelligent document processing, copilots, and predictive insights using SAP and Azure AI technologies.
- Lead AI proofs of concept and move successful pilots into production with appropriate data, security, and governance controls.
- Mentor solution designers and technical leads and promote reusable components and design patterns.
Experience and technical qualifications
- 10+ years in solution and technology architecture, including multiple full-lifecycle SAP implementations through go-live and hypercare in a senior architecture role.
- Broad expertise across multiple SAP business domains; strong S/4HANA architecture, clean core, extensibility, and SAP BTP knowledge.
- Hands-on SAP data migration experience; familiarity with RISE with SAP, cloud deployment, and SAP licensing and consumption models.
- Solid knowledge of cloud, integration middleware, data and analytics, identity and security, DevOps, and modern application development.
- API-led, event-driven, and microservices integration expertise with hands-on SAP and non-SAP integration experience.
- TOGAF or equivalent framework experience and experience designing mission-critical, high-transaction environments.
- Practical knowledge of LLMs, retrieval augmented generation, and AI agents; AI-enabled business solution delivery is strongly preferred.
- Experience with agile and waterfall delivery and directing systems integrators and vendor teams.
Education and certifications
- A Computer Science bachelor’s degree or relevant advanced degree is mandatory.
- TOGAF, SAFe Architect, SAP, Azure Solutions Architect, or AI certifications are an advantage.
