Position summary
Experienced web software engineer specializing in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and PWA Kit/Composable Storefront.
Design and develop high-performance, headless B2C eCommerce solutions.
Core responsibilities
- Build PWA storefront product, listing, cart, and checkout features with the Retail React App template.
- Improve code quality using SonarQube findings and architectural fixes.
- Extend SCAPI/OCAPI integrations and map data between SFCC and React.
- Manage Managed Runtime deployments and environment configuration.
- Implement shopper authentication using SLAS.
- Build responsive, accessible React components from high-fidelity designs.
- Collaborate with product, UX/UI, backend, business, technology, and SI partner teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues with SFCC and MRT logs and browser tools.
- Participate in scrums and provide guidance to outsourced vendor resources.
- Help control environment costs and contribute to technology decisions and prioritization.
Qualifications and experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with at least two headless storefront implementations; full-cycle SFCC Composable Storefront/PWA Kit experience is preferred.
- Expert React knowledge, including Hooks, Context API, SSR, and state management.
- Mastery of SFCC core concepts, SCAPI, and OCAPI.
- Experience resolving code-quality findings, vulnerabilities, code smells, and maintainability debt.
- Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, ES6+, and Chakra UI or a similar CSS-in-JS library.
- Integration experience with OMS, payment gateways via SLAS, and third-party services in a decoupled environment.
- Strong performance-focused engineering experience.
Work environment
- Fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring management of multiple priorities.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
