Sales Merchandiser

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Arrange and maintain products on shelves according to company standards; keep displays clean and products easy to find.
• Check stock levels, report low-stock or out-of-stock items, monitor expiry dates using FIFO, and replenish products from the stockroom.
• Check prices, labels, promotions, and shelf tags; support promotional displays and activities.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and basic product information; monitor competitors' products, prices, and promotions when required.
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and purchasing teams; report damaged, missing, or expired products to the supervisor.
• Keep shelves and assigned areas clean and organized, prepare simple daily reports on stock, displays, and sales activities, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, merchandising, retail, or supermarket operations is preferred.
• Good communication and customer-service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods; good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic English is required; other languages are an advantage.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays when required.

Working environment

• Based in a supermarket or retail environment, with frequent movement between sales areas, shelves, and stockroom areas.
• Work location is in person.

Pay

• AED 2,000–2,500 per month.
