Job Overview

The Sales Consultant is responsible for driving the sales growth of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles, by developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, ensuring customer retention, and delivering a premium brand experience throughout the entire sales lifecycle.

Sales and Business Development

  • Drive consistent achievement of truck and bus sales targets by proactively developing new business across key market segments and sustaining a healthy, conversion focused sales pipeline.
  • Strengthen market presence through competitor awareness, strategic market mapping, and active lead generation via field engagement, networking, and relationship building, ensuring accurate visibility and follow up through CRM discipline.

Customer Relationship & Retention

  • Build and sustain long term partnerships with fleet owners and key decision makers through regular engagement, deep understanding of customer business needs, and proactive account management.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and renewal growth by coordinating closely with aftersales and service teams to resolve issues and deliver consistent value.
  • Strengthen account profitability by positioning and securing aftersales contracts and service packages that support long‑term customer success.

Product Consultation & Solution Selling

  • Deliver consultative expertise by advising customers on truck and bus specifications, financing options, and total cost of ownership to support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Translate customer operational needs into tailored vehicle solutions through demonstrations, test drives, and technical guidance.
  • Close opportunities by presenting clear, customized proposals and quotations that align value, performance, and commercial objectives.
  • Use sound judgment in decision making and maintain professionalism in all customer and team interactions.

Sales Process Management

  • Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle from lead qualification through vehicle delivery handover, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and customer‑focused execution.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting to support business planning and performance management, while consistently adhering to company pricing, discount, and governance policies.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure end‑to‑end deal integrity by maintaining complete, accurate, and audit‑ready documentation for every transaction.
  • Enable smooth execution and timely delivery through effective coordination with finance, logistics, and registration teams, ensuring all dependencies are met without delay.
  • Uphold company governance and local regulatory compliance, minimizing risk and supporting a consistent, compliant sales process.

Vehicle Delivery & Handover

  • Ensure timely and coordinated vehicle delivery, providing a professional handover experience that includes clear customer orientation and product training.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and retention through proactive post delivery follow up, ensuring expectations are met and any issues are promptly addressed.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Maintain strong market awareness by monitoring competitor activity and industry trends, translating insights into actionable market feedback for the business.
  • Support sales effectiveness and planning through timely activity reporting and disciplined management of accurate, up-to-date CRM data. General

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales.
  • Proven track record as a sales Consultant or similar role within the automotive industry.
