Sales Executive – Shipping & Freight Forwarding

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in the UAE market.
• Generate leads through calls, meetings, networking, referrals, field visits, and other business development activities.
• Promote sea freight, air freight, land freight, and customs clearance services.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Understand customer shipping requirements and offer suitable logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations and follow up with customers to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
• Achieve assigned monthly sales and business development targets.
• Follow up with prospects and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Identify repeat-business opportunities and increase customer retention.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth execution of customer shipments.
• Monitor market conditions and identify new sales opportunities.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, leads, quotations, and sales activities.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in shipping sales, freight forwarding, logistics, or B2B sales.
• Proven ability to generate new customers and bring in new business.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-focused and commercially aware approach.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Good knowledge of the UAE market is an advantage.
• Existing customer contacts or a network in shipping or logistics is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Good computer and email skills.
• A valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary is AED 2,500–3,000 per month.
• The role offers a 3% commission on profit generated from business brought by the Sales Executive.

Workplace and Employment

• The position is full-time, permanent, and requires in-person work in Dubai.
