Job Brief

Our client in the water treatment industry is looking for a Sales Engineer to promote and sell water and wastewater treatment solutions, including HVAC treatment solutions, across commercial, industrial, and government sectors.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, preparing technical proposals, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have a technical engineering background combined with strong sales and customer relationship management skills to support the company’s growth and revenue objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to introduce and sell water and wastewater treatment solutions , including HVAC treatment solutions, across commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
  • Generate new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, relationship building, and cold calling activities.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and a robust sales plan aligned with the company’s goals for sales, revenue, profitability, and growth.
  • Build, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with key customers within targeted market segments.
  • Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts, revenue projections, and market analysis reports , including competitor insights, to the Sales Manager.
  • Negotiate and finalise commercial terms, contracts, and agreements with customers.
  • Prepare risk committee documentation and cash flow analysis for major projects when required.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with customers , ensuring strong engagement throughout the sales cycle.
  • Review customer enquiries and prepare technical and commercial proposals in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit technical submittals and related documentation for project approvals.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders and project requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to customers and prospective clients.
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities assigned by management when required.
