A Sales Engineer for steel structure building construction connects clients and contractors with internal steel fabrication and engineering teams.
The role drives business development for Pre-Engineered Buildings and hot-rolled structural steel projects.
Core responsibilities
- Identify and secure opportunities for industrial warehouses, factories, and commercial steel structures.
- Interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and tender documents to define project scope and requirements.
- Prepare technical-commercial offers, calculate material quantities and weights, and suggest value-engineering alternatives for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with estimation, design, procurement, and fabrication teams to ensure proposals match company capabilities and codes.
- Visit sites, present to clients, and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and project timelines with consultants and contractors.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
- 2–5 years of technical sales or engineering experience in structural steel fabrication, PEB, or construction.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, understand structural systems, and interpret standards such as ASTM, BS, or EN.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong plus.
- Valid UAE driving license and familiarity with local industrial construction practices.
- At least 3 years of UAE experience; candidate must be physically available in the UAE.
- Face-to-face interview is required; online interview is not accepted.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.
