Civil Site Engineer

Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Supervise daily erection, alignment, bolting, and welding of structural steel components on site.
• Check structural, shop, and general arrangement drawings and connection details for on-site accuracy.
• Inspect incoming steel, welds, and bolted connections against engineering specifications and local building codes.
• Maintain HSE standards, especially for work at heights and heavy lifting.
• Coordinate project managers, workshop fabricators, subcontractors, and site work crews.
• Resolve technical, setting-out, and design-clash issues during construction.
• Monitor labor productivity, manage site records, and submit daily or weekly progress reports.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the UAE; the description also states 3 to 7 years of hands-on site experience focused on steel fabrication and erection.
• Strong understanding of steel structures, PEB systems, connection designs, and detailed construction blueprints.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools for reviewing or interpreting site modifications.
• Effective communication, team leadership, and problem-solving under tight deadlines.
• Valid UAE driving license.

Pay

• Pay starts at AED 4,500 per month.
