About This Role

Role Overview

The Metering & Power Monitoring Sales Engineer will be accountable for driving the growth and market expansion of Socomec Energy Efficiency solutions throughout the Middle East and Africa regions.

This position demands both technical proficiency, strategic sales skills and proven previous experience of Metering & Power Monitoring market in the designated region.

He will be particularly focusing on identifying projects, recruiting and developing new channel partners, system integrators and distributors.

The successful candidate will serve as the regional reference expert, offering in-depth technical and commercial support to both existing and prospective partners.

This individual will proactively guide partners through the latest energy monitoring solutions by ensuring partners are fully equipped with up-to-date market knowledge and technical expertise.

The candidate will drive effective market penetration, foster lasting relationships and support sustained business growth throughout the Middle East and Africa regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to grow Metering & Power Monitoring business across the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on five countries across the region: UAE, KSA, Morocco, South Africa and Turkey.
  • Identify business opportunities and penetrate new markets
  • Develop, recruit, and manage existing and new distributors, system integrators and channel partners across the ME & Africa regions.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue objectives and market-share goals.
  • Build a strong projects pipeline through proactive business development and market engagement.
  • Provide commercial and technical support to channel partners to ensure effective market coverage.
  • Conduct regular training to strengthen product knowledge and solution positioning.
  • Monitor market trends, competition and technological developments within metering and power monitoring industry and provide frequent feedback
  • Conduct regular customer visits across the Middle East and Africa to develop new opportunities and strengthen relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in technical sales within metering, power monitoring and energy management in the Middle East (GCC Region) and/or Africa
  • Strong knowledge of energy management and power monitoring hardware & software’s and practices and relevant communication protocols
  • Familiar with local regulations and standards supporting energy management and power monitoring spaces
  • Proven experience managing regional sales territories and distributor/system integrators networks.
  • CEM certification is a big plus

Languages

  • English is Mandatory
  • French is an advantage
  • Arabic is a plus

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and regional markets.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multicultural and multi-country environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and market development skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and result-driven mindset.
  • Previous experience with CRM software preferably SalesForce
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Middle East and Africa (25%).
