Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Head of Marketing role located at Plekhanov University Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the university’s marketing and brand strategy, with a particular focus on Russian-speaking markets and audiences.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, managing digital and traditional marketing channels, and overseeing content creation for web, social media, and print materials.

The role includes conducting market and competitor research, managing the marketing budget, and tracking performance metrics to optimize campaigns and enrollment-focused initiatives.

The Head of Marketing will collaborate closely with admissions, academic departments, and leadership to support student recruitment, events, partnerships, and overall brand positioning, while supervising and mentoring members of the marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in higher education or related sectors, with responsibility for strategy, team management, and campaign execution.
  • Fluency in Russian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for diverse audiences and professional presentations.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience developing and managing brand and content strategies, including messaging, editorial planning, and creative direction across online and offline channels.
  • Strong skills in market research, data analysis, and performance reporting to inform decision-making and improve recruitment and engagement outcomes.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple projects simultaneously, with a structured approach to prioritization and stakeholder coordination.
  • Collaborative mindset and leadership abilities, including mentoring team members, working with cross-functional teams, and building relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the UAE education landscape or international university marketing is beneficial, along with experience organizing events and promotional activities.
  • Comfort working in a multicultural environment and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory communication and outreach.
