Role overview

Risk management responsibilities

• Develop and monitor risk, issue, and opportunity management processes and maintain a risk matrix covering dependencies and schedule impacts.
• Implement the Risk Management Plan, Risk Log, and governance processes; review the log against programme status reports and meetings.
• Ensure risks are identified, evaluated, managed, reassessed, and communicated; manage internal, inter-programme, and external risks.
• Monitor project progress, provide management information, and drive delivery while managing interdependencies and programme-level risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate discussions to realize opportunities, support supplier value-for-money negotiations, and transfer knowledge and skills to the client.
• Implement best-practice programme, project, and administrative processes and support common standards.

Qualifications and experience

• 10–15 years of risk management experience, including at least three years as a Risk Manager in construction or engineering.
• Aviation experience is required, along with understanding and experience of complex projects and a risk management track record.
• Graduate qualification in engineering, business, or equivalent; postgraduate qualifications or equivalent are also mentioned.
• A risk management qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
