Role Overview
Support the Group’s Delivery Assurance function by analysing project schedules, assessing delivery risks and identifying early warning signs across construction and infrastructure projects.
Work with Delivery Assurance Managers to validate project data, monitor schedules against baselines, assess risk exposure and provide insights for timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review schedule logic, open ends, constraints, negative float and durations; compare updates with baselines and prior periods to identify critical-path changes, float erosion and forecast delays.
- Support delay analysis and recovery planning for projects requiring additional assurance.
- Review risk registers for completeness, ownership, quantification and mitigation status; conduct schedule and cost risk analysis and assess forecast-date confidence.
- Monitor early warning indicators and escalate emerging risks to Delivery Assurance Managers.
- Maintain accurate schedule and risk data in the Group’s governed reporting model.
- Work with project planners to improve data quality and develop repeatable analysis, templates and automated checks.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent tools, including XER files, schedule logic, calendars, constraints and float analysis.
- Familiarity with DCMA 14-point schedule assessment and qualitative and quantitative schedule risk analysis.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills; SQL or Python for automation is preferred.
- Ability to develop or improve analytical tools, scripts or templates to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and clear communication of technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Essential AI Fluency
- Practical, hands-on AI or scripting use to automate schedule checks, validate project data, identify anomalies or detect potential delays is essential.
- Candidates must provide a real example of improved efficiency or analysis; general AI awareness or use limited to drafting and presentations does not meet the requirement.
