Seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Retail Cashier to handle customer transactions and provide efficient checkout service.
The candidate should be comfortable handling payments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with routine customer inquiries.
Key responsibilities
- Process cash, card, and other authorized customer payments accurately.
- Scan and record products and provide receipts for completed transactions.
- Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate cash register records.
- Assist customers with basic questions and direct them to appropriate staff when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Report pricing discrepancies, transaction issues, or cash differences to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer or point-of-sale system knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred.
