About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven

Restaurant General Manager

to lead the overall performance of a high-profile restaurant operation.

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence.

The successful candidate will also act as the primary point of contact for our brand owners, building a strong collaborative partnership while ensuring brand standards, operational expectations, and business objectives are consistently achieved.

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service, quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver business performance against financial targets, KPIs, and guest satisfaction measures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Guest Experience

  • Build strong relationships with guests, creating memorable dining experiences that encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement improvements where required.

Brand Partnership

  • Develop and maintain a productive relationship with brand owners, acting as the operational ambassador for the restaurant.
  • Ensure brand standards, values, and operating procedures are consistently executed.
  • Provide regular business updates, operational insights, and collaborate on initiatives to enhance the guest experience and business performance.

Financial Management

  • Take full ownership of revenue, profitability, labour costs, and controllable expenses.
  • Analyse business performance and implement action plans to maximise sales and improve profitability.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, reporting, and financial compliance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing restaurant team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for team members.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive revenue through local marketing initiatives, promotions, and business development activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with event companies, corporate clients, agencies, hotels, concierges, and other referral partners to generate new business.
  • Secure group bookings, private events, and catering opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to increase guest frequency, average spend, and profitability.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of restaurant presentation, equipment maintenance, and operational readiness.
  • Conduct regular operational audits to ensure consistency and excellence.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work closely with support departments and senior leadership to achieve business objectives.
  • Submit operational and financial reports accurately and on time.
  • Promote effective communication across all departments.

Experience

  • Minimum
  • 5 years' experience
  • in restaurant or hospitality management, including at least
  • 2 years in a General Manager role
  • .
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume restaurant operations.
  • Experience managing P&L performance and delivering commercial results.
  • Experience working with franchise partners or brand owners is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
