About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• ***Financial Management***
• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports for leadership.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment processors, and intercompany accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasting reports.
• ***Regulatory & Compliance***
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, ESR, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and supporting documentation.
• Assist with annual audits and statutory reporting obligations.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with UAE accounting standards and company policies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required.

***Group & Intercompany Accounting***

• Manage accounting records for multiple entities within the group structure.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and related reporting requirements.
• Coordinate financial information from offshore subsidiaries and international service providers.
• ***Budgeting & Analysis***
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor departmental expenditure against budget.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and operational efficiency.
• ***Process Improvement***
• Assist in developing scalable finance processes suitable for a growing startup.
• Support implementation and optimisation of accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting, VAT, Corporate Tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and offshore subsidiary structures.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Startup or high-growth company experience.
• Experience supporting international corporate structures.
• Professional qualification or part qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Experience within technology, fintech, payments, online gaming, or digital services industries.
• Familiarity with Gibraltar, Isle of Man, US, or other international corporate structures.
