About This Role
Project accounting, WIP, revenue recognition, progress billing, retention, VAT, cash flow, and reporting.
- Manage and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) reports across all active projects.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606 and other applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare and issue progress billing statements to clients in a timely manner.
- Track and administer project retainers, including release timelines and recovery procedures.
- Maintain compliance with VAT regulations and ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Monitor project cash flow and deliver forecasts to support financial planning and budgeting.
- Produce comprehensive financial reports for management, stakeholders, and internal audit.
- Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or a similar financial role.
- In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles, particularly ASC 606.
- Demonstrated expertise in WIP calculations and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with progress billing and retention management.
- Solid understanding of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
