KBR seeks a Reliability Engineer to establish and execute the total reliability program framework for refinery assets through their remaining lifecycle.
The role leads reliability activities and supports the Reliability Transformation Project.
Responsibilities
- Develop methodology for refinery asset criticality assessment and reliability improvement programs.
- Lead asset criticality analyses and workshops; compile findings and prepare SAP upload data and supporting documents.
- Implement reliability methodologies and programs across asset types.
- Act as technical focal point for reliability reviews and reliability culture development in projects and operating facilities.
- Administer asset lifecycle procedures, SAP taxonomy and master data, IOW, maintenance development, BOM, and SAP PM implementation.
- Conduct improvement studies and provide specialist engineering advice on complex facility and operational asset issues.
- Apply benchmark and safety-case lessons and recommend actions to maintain safety-critical equipment reliability.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams on asset integrity, performance analysis, chronic failure prevention, and reliability KPIs.
- Lead the Reliability section, report weekly or fortnightly project progress, and coordinate with project teams.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Site reliability background and strong refinery process knowledge.
- Training in root cause failure analysis, such as Apollo Root Cause Analysis by Reality Charting or a similar method; ability to facilitate RCA and asset criticality analysis.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in oil, gas, or petrochemicals.
- Experience with static and rotating equipment, instruments, and electrical systems is desirable.
- Operations, maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover experience is advantageous.
- Experience administering asset lifecycle procedures, including SAP data, taxonomy, BOM, and SAP PM.
- Leadership, team management, communication, data analysis, report writing, attention to detail, and MS Office skills.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of SIS and RBI is an added advantage.
