Position Overview

One vacancy is available for a new Registered Vascular Technologist position at Toronto General Hospital.

The role is within the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre's Vascular Ultrasound Laboratory and reports to the Nurse Manager.

The program provides cardiovascular care through a multidisciplinary team supporting complex patient cases.

Compensation

  • The stated salary range is $37.47 to $46.84; the compensation cadence is not specified.

Schedule and Status

  • The schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • The position status is listed as casual.

Duties

  • Perform duplex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures as outlined in procedure manuals to aid diagnosis and treatment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound, medical imaging, and ancillary equipment.
  • Prepare and document procedures and test results and complete OHIP billing.
  • Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety, and quality improvement activities.
  • Perform related patient-care responsibilities and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Follow hospital and departmental policies, procedures, mission, and values.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Complete a three-year community college program in Ultrasound or a recognized equivalent.
  • Complete a recognized post-diploma Ultrasound program or a recognized equivalent.
  • Demonstrate effective body language, people management skills, and sensitivity during intimate patient contact.
  • Meet patient-care needs, use computers effectively, and understand hospital emergency codes and procedures.
