Registered Nurse

Job purpose

Clinical duties

• Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, vital-sign checks, and symptom monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor adverse reactions, provide wound care, and assist with procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families; observe and document conditions and changes; report significant changes to the medical team.
• Respond to emergencies, conduct purposeful rounding, and follow emergency protocols including codes and rapid response procedures.
• Follow infection-control practices, participate in infection surveillance and reporting, and maintain cleanliness of patient items and equipment.
• Innovate in patient care and apply evidence-based practices to improve outcomes.

Administrative and supportive duties

• Maintain accurate records of patient observations, interventions, and responses.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuous, coordinated care.
• Provide emotional support, advocate for patient needs and rights, and respect cultural backgrounds, values, and beliefs.
• Participate in ongoing education and training; guide junior staff and nursing students as needed.
• Identify patient-care challenges and contribute to solutions and practice improvements.
• Support Fakeeh’s person-centered care values, continuous improvement, safety, confidentiality, cybersecurity, and ethical standards; complete mandatory education before expiration.

Skills and abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach; ability to manage work pressure and work in a team.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and typing; clerical skills including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and document scanning.

Experience and education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience; staff with less than one year enter the RN residency program.

Language and licensure

• Excellent command of English; Arabic is a plus.
• Country-of-origin license and license to practice under the applicable regional health regulatory authority, such as SCFHS or DHA.
• BLS, ACLS, and other LSTC courses as applicable.
