Role Overview
Optical Technician supporting retail optical sales and basic technical fitting in Dammam.
Combines customer service, product recommendation, prescription verification, and POS/insurance processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products (frames, lenses, CL, sunglasses).
- Drive conversion, upselling, cross-selling, and promotions execution.
- Achieve individual sales targets and support store performance.
- Deliver a professional and engaging customer journey.
- Handle customer inquiries and basic complaints effectively.
- Build customer relationships and loyalty.
- Read and understand prescriptions accurately.
- Support basic fitting, adjustments, and product selection.
- Assist opticians in handling technical requirements when needed.
- Check prescription, fitting, and product specifications.
- Ensure no defects and full match with customer order.
- Process transactions accurately through POS system and support insurance approvals.
Job Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical institute of optics.
- Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
- SCFHS license/certification.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of optical and technical processes.
- Good knowledge of POS and insurance systems.
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Team player with ability to work under pressure.
Additional Duties
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain stock accuracy and proper product handling.
Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
Maintain product knowledge across categories.
Work with team to achieve store targets.
Support opticians and sales team during peak times.
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.
