Regional Project Manager Lead

Role overview

Leadership and project management

• Lead, mentor, and guide project managers while driving accountability and project excellence.
• Ensure projects are delivered on brief, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.
• Govern project management processes, project setup, execution, monitoring, control, and documentation.
• Support scoping, planning, specifications, risk mitigation, onboarding, training, and global collaboration.
• Monitor project profitability, burn, utilization, time compliance, and project health.
• Oversee project deliverables QA/QC and support AI and automation initiatives.

Workflow and resource operations

• Develop workflow processes and improvements within the PMO, including opportunities for AI and automation.
• Ensure timely project delivery and escalate potential issues to the Account Director.
• Coordinate project manager assignments, creative utilization, talent availability, skill matching, and freelancer input.
• Work with resource managers to support global project teams rather than only regional teams.

Finance and recruitment

• Lead weekly work-in-progress meetings and maintain accurate project data with the finance team.
• Approve purchase orders, cost estimates, credit notes, supplier purchase orders, and freelance invoices within authority.
• Oversee regional project profitability at job closure.
• Vet CVs and conduct interviews for project managers, traffic managers, and producers.

Client and line management

• Provide customer escalation support and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Guide best-practice briefing and client engagement.
• Manage direct reports through development conversations, one-to-ones, performance support, and team motivation.
• Maintain administration according to best practices.

Project delivery

• Lead projects when required and ensure the brief contains the information needed to begin work.
• Align project teams and clients on budgets, scope, purchase orders, and timing plans.
• Control scope and scope creep and escalate projects at risk of unsuccessful delivery.
• Ensure final client presentations answer the brief, pass QA checks, and present the work effectively.

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading and managing project managers and extended creative teams.
• Deep program and project management expertise with an ownership mentality.
• Excellent client engagement, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of account management, invoicing, project profitability, and workflow management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Understanding of client-side integration while maintaining agency service quality.

Additional experience

• Agency, communications, or production industry experience is advantageous.
• Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence technologies is advantageous.
