Role overview

Full-time, non-management Recreation Supervisor role in Golf, Fitness, and Entertainment at a Dubai hotel.

The position is not remote.

Activities and guest participation

  • Create recreation activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
  • Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for activities; provide information about available facilities and activities.
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere and communicate rules intended to protect guests and members.

Facility safety and upkeep

  • Observe recreation activities, respond to emergencies, and alert a supervisor when a guest may not be able to participate safely.
  • Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Clean and maintain recreation equipment and supplies; monitor inventory and notify the manager about low supplies.

Team and service duties

  • Assist management with training, motivating, and coaching employees; report accidents and unsafe conditions.
  • Address guest service needs, develop positive working relationships, and process customer orders or payments as needed.
  • Inspect equipment, uphold quality standards, and use computers or point-of-sale systems for work information.

Preferred qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Required certifications and training

  • CPR certification is required.
  • First Aid certification is required.
  • Recreation and Fitness Equipment qualification or certification is required.
  • Certifications or training required by local and state agencies are required.
