Role overview

Painting and maintenance duties

• Prepare surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, and removing old paint.
• Mix, match, and apply paint and finishes, including vinyl, decorative paint, wallpaper, specialty paper, and fabrics.
• Provide decorative and faux finishes as projects require.
• Inspect, maintain, and refurbish painted interior and exterior surfaces, trim, fixtures, and walls.
• Apply paints, stains, shading stains, clear finishes, and wood finishes after suitable preparation.
• Mud and tape drywall surfaces; operate and maintain a high-pressure low-volume spray machine and other power and manual tools.
• Complete work orders in the system and perform maintenance requests.
• Calculate material and time needs; order or purchase paint, brushes, and supplies.
• Protect surrounding areas, move furniture or equipment as needed, clean work areas, and return tools and equipment.
• Attend daily briefings and shift handovers; complete and record routine preventive maintenance tasks.
• Respond to guest and staff requests and coordinate with the duty engineer and related departments.

Preferred qualifications

• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and interior and exterior painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as preferred.

• Schedule is full time.

Workplace

• The position is not remote and is based at the hotel in Abu Dhabi.
