Role overview

Development strategy and delivery

• Develop and implement real estate development strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Identify and evaluate property acquisition, investment, and development opportunities.
• Oversee feasibility, site selection, planning, design, construction, and project delivery.
• Prepare development proposals, financial models, budgets, and investment recommendations.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and quality standards.

Analysis and stakeholder coordination

• Research markets and analyze finances to assess development potential, demand, and returns.
• Manage relationships with property owners, investors, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Evaluate land acquisition opportunities and negotiate commercial terms.
• Coordinate with planning, construction, legal, finance, and marketing teams.
• Monitor property values, economic conditions, and industry trends for growth opportunities.

Compliance, risk, and leadership

• Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and approval processes.
• Assess and address financial, operational, regulatory, and construction-related risks.
• Set performance indicators for profitability, operational efficiency, and development outcomes.
• Present project progress, financial performance, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Lead and mentor development teams and foster innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in real estate development, property investment, project management, or a related industry.
• Proven track record managing property development projects from feasibility assessment through completion.
• Strong understanding of property markets, land acquisition, development planning, and construction processes.

Skills and capabilities

• Experience in financial modeling, investment analysis, budgeting, and project feasibility studies.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
• Familiarity with planning regulations, building requirements, and property development approvals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders and business partners.
• Proficiency in project management tools, financial analysis software, and relevant industry systems.
