Parsons seeks a Quantity Surveyor for its project site team.
The role supports the Commercial Manager/SQS on financial and contractual matters throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Assist with financial and contractual project matters, commercial meetings, and progress-meeting minutes.
- Review monthly contractor payment applications and assist with payment certificates.
- Maintain cost and quantity records; advise on measurement procedures and interim and final quantities.
- Evaluate rates for new work items and record and monitor day works.
- Assist with variation orders, contractual claims, contractor entitlement evaluations, and claim settlements.
- Advise on financial contractual matters and check contractual requirement completeness and validity.
- Monitor contractor resource allocation and final cost estimates.
- Assist with payment audits, monthly financial statements, and final-account preparation with supporting documents.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or civil engineering.
- At least 10 years of quantity surveying and contract administration experience on major UAE infrastructure, utilities, bridges, and irrigation projects.
- Sound knowledge of contractual relationships.
Desired skills
- Computer literacy and ability to use project-specific engineering or construction software are desired.
- Fluent written and spoken English, strong technical writing, and communication skills are desired.
- Availability in the UAE is desired.
