Parsons seeks a Land Surveyor in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to interface with clients and contractors and determine and verify project survey requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform land and field surveys and geodetic calculations.
- Complete survey work on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
- Check setting-out and levels, verify service locations, and ensure their protection.
- Prepare field sketches and maintain field books, sketches, and calculations.
- Measure work completed when required and assist in preparing as-built drawings.
- Observe site safety procedures and participate in site health and safety matters as required.
- Perform other associated responsibilities as appropriate.
Required qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Survey Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of land surveying and setting-out experience on roads and bridges projects.
- Knowledge of or experience with CAD, GIS software, survey software, total station, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
- Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard industry work procedures.
Desired skills
- Prior experience with bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects is desired.
- Good communication skills and commitment to safe work practices are desired.
