Role Description
The Quantity Surveyor will work on-site in Dubai in a full-time capacity, supporting architectural and interior projects from early design stages through to completion.
Responsibilities include preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), developing cost plans and estimates, monitoring project budgets, and implementing cost control measures.
The role involves regular cost reporting, assessing variations, and advising the project team on financial implications to keep projects within approved budgets.
The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers, attend site meetings, review contractor quotations, and contribute to value engineering and procurement decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong cost planning and cost management skills, with the ability to develop accurate estimates and project budgets.
- Experience in cost control and cost reporting to track expenditures, manage variations, and provide timely financial updates.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing BOQ and related documentation for architectural and interior projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local market rates in the UAE, particularly Dubai.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with architectural or interior design firms or on high-end residential and commercial projects is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost management software, as well as MS Office (especially Excel).
