Quality Specialist role with Amazon Now in the UAE, focused on quality of meat, seafood, produce, and other perishables.
The role supports vendor operations, daily quality inspections, process improvements, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Inspect meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, eggs, and other perishables at inbound in stores, hubs, and vendor sites.
- Reject damaged or defective items and record rejections by item, vendor, and quantity.
- Audit quality during picking and packing and monitor packaging standards.
- Audit bins daily and provide daily or weekly reports to stakeholders.
- Train store and hub associates on quality, SOPs, and packaging.
- Help vendors improve operations and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Drive process improvements and automation; collaborate with internal teams and fulfillment partners to improve customer outcomes.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Written and verbal English communication skills.
- At least one year of work experience in the fresh produce and fresh perishable category.
- Flexible availability for weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred qualifications
- PIC Level 3 certificate.
- HACCP certificate.
- ISO 22000 or GMP.
Schedule
- The role may require weekend work, with a work week not exceeding 40 hours.
- Flexible scheduling may include weekends, nights, and holidays.
