Full Job Posting

Role overview

The role supports quality, improvement and innovation across Jobs Guarantee delivery.

The post works alongside operational teams to create consistently strong delivery and improve participant outcomes.

The role is part of delivery rather than a compliance function operating separately from delivery.

Location and working pattern

  • The role is home based with regular travel across Jobs Guarantee delivery areas in South and West Scotland.
  • Travel is required to meet colleagues, employers and partners.
  • The role offers flexible working and is scheduled for 35 hours per week.

Contract details

  • The position is fixed term until October 2028.
  • The stated salary is £25,664 plus benefits.

Quality and improvement

  • Build quality into everyday delivery and develop proportionate quality-assurance approaches.
  • Use case reviews, observations, data, feedback and conversations to understand quality.
  • Identify issues early and work with colleagues to improve practice.
  • Help teams own quality rather than experience it as an external inspection.

Relational Mentoring

  • Help deliver the Relational Mentoring approach consistently across Jobs Guarantee.
  • Assess whether support understands the whole person, is personalised and creates progress.
  • Create opportunities for reflective practice and shared learning.
  • Identify strong practice and help make it repeatable.

Participant experience

  • Keep participant voice at the centre of improvement.
  • Create meaningful ways for young people to describe their experience before, during and after employment.
  • Use individual experiences to identify wider patterns and ensure feedback results in action.

Data and impact

  • Combine performance information with qualitative insight, participant experience and employer feedback.
  • Analyse engagement, matching, job starts, sustainment, progression and quality by locality and across the programme.
  • Bring together robust data and human evidence to explain impact and guide next steps.

Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, practice and participant experience.
  • Test changes, understand their impact and help teams embed what works.
  • Follow improvement actions through and investigate underlying causes of recurring issues.

Requirements

  • Regular travel across Jobs Guarantee delivery areas in South and West Scotland to meet colleagues, employers and partners.
  • Ability to work alongside operational teams and engage with participants, colleagues, employers and partners.
  • Ability to analyse performance information together with qualitative insight and participant feedback.
  • Ability to use structured improvement approaches while keeping them practical.
