Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Data Quality Engineer
to join our team in Cairo.
The successful candidate will lead data analysis and cleansing initiatives, champion data quality improvements, and resolve duplication and inconsistency issues.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our enterprise data aligns with approved governance rules, MDM standards, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis and execute complex data cleansing activities across enterprise databases.
- Identify, assess, and resolve data quality issues, including duplication, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Implement and monitor Data Quality and Master Data Management (MDM) rules, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver execution-focused, accurate data solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data dictionaries, data flows, and quality rules.
- Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies and implement long-term preventive measures.
Qualifications & Experience
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- **Experience:**
- 4+ years of dedicated work experience in Data Quality management.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Cleansing.
- 2+ years of solid experience in Master Data Management (MDM).
- **Technical Skills:**
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and working directly with complex relational databases.
- Deep understanding of Data Quality frameworks and MDM concepts.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a hyper-focus on data accuracy and detail.
- **Required Certifications (At least one or more of the following):**
- CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) – Data Quality focus.
- Advanced SQL Certification.
- MDM Fundamentals.
- Oracle / Microsoft Data-related Certifications.
