The Quality Engineer leads product quality control and process verification from raw wire intake through shaping, powder coating, packaging, and export container loading.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inline and final inspections, including wire gauge and tensile tests, dimensional checks, and powder-coating adhesion and thickness tests.
- Inspect incoming raw wire rod coils and perform pre-shipment inspections during container loading.
- Develop and enforce quality checklists, sampling plans, and tolerance standards aligned with global shipping guidelines.
- Lead root cause analysis on non-conforming items and defect trends, and coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of micrometers, coating thickness gauges, tensile testing units, and other testing tools.
- Maintain QA records and generate daily and monthly defect and yield performance reports for leadership.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Management.
- At least 3 years of QA/QC engineering experience in metal manufacturing, wire drawing, or surface coating industries.
- Proficiency with gauge measurement, mechanical wire testing, coating thickness testing, and statistical process control.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 systems, 5S, and Six Sigma methodology.
- Strong professional writing and communication skills in English.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,508.07–11,283.60 per month.
