The Production Manager oversees plant operations and drives operational efficiency across wire drawing, shaping, powder coating and packaging lines.
The role is responsible for maintaining safety standards and meeting delivery commitments.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily manufacturing activities to meet targets across wire drawing, mechanical shaping, powder coating and automated packaging lines safely and efficiently.
- Maximize overall equipment effectiveness, minimize downtime and manage continuous-run production schedules.
- Apply lean manufacturing to reduce scrap from wire rods and powder-coat compounds.
- Plan shift rosters, allocate shop-floor labour and develop machine-operator skills.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, QA/QC and Supply Chain to align raw-material processing with international shipping schedules.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Metallurgical Engineering.
- At least seven years of metal-processing or continuous wire-manufacturing experience, including at least three years in a managerial or senior plant supervisory role.
- Strong background in wire drawing machinery, mechanical forming tools, powder coating systems and high-speed unit packaging.
- Business fluency in English; Hindi or Urdu communication skills are advantageous for team coordination.
