Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Quality Control Manager

to lead quality assurance and food safety initiatives within a flour milling operation.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, while driving continuous improvement across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to the quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure production of high-quality, safe, and legally compliant products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Implement proactive risk assessments and collaborate with plant management to mitigate quality and food safety risks.
  • Oversee plant hygiene, sanitation, allergen management, aseptic processes, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain Quality and Food Safety Management Systems across the facility.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze quality metrics and trends, reporting insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., ESMA, GSO).
  • Oversee laboratory operations, including testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products using calibrated equipment.
  • Approve or reject raw materials, packaging, and finished goods based on quality specifications.
  • Manage customer complaints, audits, and feedback processes with professional and timely responses.
  • **Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with certification requirements.**
  • Coordinate crisis management, including handling non-conforming products and product recalls.
  • Provide training programs on food safety, pest control, operational practices, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to improve product quality and processes.
  • Monitor production processes and halt operations when standards are not met.
  • Engage with customers alongside the sales team to provide technical support and quality insights.
  • Represent the organization at food safety seminars, audits, and industry events when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field.
  • Minimum
  • 5 years of experience
  • in the flour milling industry in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of flour milling processes, bakery applications, enzymes, and additives.

Additional Information

  • Experience in flour milling and/or bakery operations is essential
  • Willingness to travel for audits, inspections, and customer visits as required
