Industry: Construction / Contracting / High-Rise Buildings

A leading professional contracting company in Dubai is seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior QA/QC Engineer / Manager to lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.

The ideal candidate shall possess extensive experience in the UAE construction sector, strong technical and managerial capabilities, and proven expertise in implementing quality management systems in compliance with project specifications, international standards, consultant requirements, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Compliance

•⁠ ⁠Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).

•⁠ ⁠Ensure full compliance with:

  * Project specifications

  * Approved shop drawings

  * Method statements

  * ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)

  * UAE local authority requirements

  * ISO standards and company procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor project quality performance and ensure achievement of quality objectives and KPIs.

•⁠ ⁠Lead QA/QC teams across multiple projects and disciplines.

Inspection & Technical Control

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate all inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments.

•⁠ ⁠Review and approve material submittals, mock-ups, samples, and testing procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved specifications and standards.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor site activities to identify non-conformance issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.

•⁠ ⁠Supervise material receiving inspections and ensure compliance with approved materials.

Documentation & Reporting

•⁠ ⁠Prepare and manage:

  * Quality reports

  * NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)

  * Corrective Action Reports

  * Quality audits

  * Inspection records

  * Testing logs

  * Method statements and quality procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain proper documentation control and quality records for all project stages.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports for management.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

•⁠ ⁠Conduct internal quality audits and site surveillance inspections.

•⁠ ⁠Lead external audits with consultants, clients, and certification bodies.

•⁠ ⁠Identify areas for improvement and establish corrective measures to enhance project quality and operational efficiency.

•⁠ ⁠Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Coordination

•⁠ ⁠Manage and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and quality staff.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate closely with:

  * Construction teams

  * Engineering departments

  * Procurement

  * Planning

  * HSE departments

  * Consultants and clients.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct quality awareness and training sessions for project teams.

Requirements

Education

•⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Experience

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 12–15 years of QA/QC experience in major contracting companies.

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 5 years in a senior QA/QC leadership role within the UAE/GCC.

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience in:

  * High-rise towers

  * Hotels

  * Large-scale residential and commercial developments.

•⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations and international quality standards.

Technical Skills

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of:

  * ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

  * Concrete works

  * Finishing works

  * MEP coordination

  * Structural inspections

  * Material testing procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to review technical documents, specifications, and drawings.

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in QA/QC reporting systems and construction management software.

Certifications (Preferred)

•⁠ ⁠ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

•⁠ ⁠Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

•⁠ ⁠Dubai Municipality / Trakhees / DDA approvals knowledge is an advantage.
