Quality Assurance Engineer – Role Description & Qualifications

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to support product reliability, system functionality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and passionate about ensuring high standards of quality through effective testing, validation, and problem-solving processes.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and validating software or system functionality to ensure products meet business and technical requirements. This role involves collaborating closely with development, product, and operations teams to support quality assurance activities throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include preparing and executing test cases, performing functional, regression, integration, and usability testing, and documenting testing outcomes accurately. The role also involves identifying and tracking defects, supporting issue resolution, maintaining testing documentation, and contributing to process improvements that enhance product quality and user experience. The candidate may also assist in automation testing initiatives and support quality standards across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent attention to detail. Familiarity with software development lifecycles, quality assurance methodologies, and debugging processes is highly desirable. Exposure to testing tools, automation frameworks, scripting basics, or version control systems is considered an advantage.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role requires regular interaction with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The candidate should be capable of documenting findings clearly, communicating issues effectively, and contributing positively in a team-oriented environment.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
